Juvenile crime and victimization presents unique and sometimes difficult challenges to law enforcement.

The Juvenile / Sex Crime Investigations Division has the responsibility to investigate all complaints made to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office involving a juvenile, whether the juvenile is the accused or the victim.

The Division also has the charge of investigating matters which concern the care, supervision, neglect and/or custody of juveniles. In addition, this Division investigates Sex Crimes, incorporating all types of sex related crimes such as rape, molestation, incest, sexual battery and pornography involving juveniles.

The investigators of the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office, Juvenile / Sex Crimes, work closely with the Office of Community Services (OCS), Children's Advocacy Center (CAC), Families in Need of Services (FINS), the District Attorney's Office and other law enforcement agencies in order to provide the maximum service to the community.
